What is Nibea?
Nibea is a 100% online website builder and web hosting. Nibea takes care of the technical details so you are free to create. No ftp uploads, no html, no desktop programs, no tricky coding. Just click and create.
Nibea is for anyone who wants to create their own website but is not technical. Nibea's website is built with Nibea... so us techies love it too!
How do my pages go from Nibea to be viewable on the internet?
You can create as many pages as you want in Nibea. To make any page viewable on the internet, go to the "Publish" tab and choose which page to publish. It just takes a second or two for a page to publish and be viewable to anyone on the internet.
What kind of things can I do with Nibea?
See the features page for the list. However in short you can drag & drop anything, resize anything, add/edit photos, maps, videos, create graphics with lots of fonts, sell products with Paypal (shopping cart, get donations, sell a recurring subscription) and many more.

Why doesn't Nibea have domain registration?
This was one of our key decisions. A lot of people have had problems over the years with not having enough control over their domain. We believe your domain name is your real property, and it should be owned & managed separate from your website.
If you need a domain, we recommend using a reliable large provider such as GoDaddy . Nibea provides simple instructions to point your domain to Nibea so that your website shows up correctly as "www.YourWebSiteName.com". This is a one-time setup and usually takes less than 10 minutes.
Domain Registration - What do I need?
Services such as GoDaddy will try to sell you many extra services. While this is smart business, it does get a little confusing as to what's important. We recommend adding "Private Registration" so that your contact details are not attached to domain information via WHOIS. So basically you need your domain name + private registration is recommended. Give or take it's about $10 - $15 for the year.
I need email. What about email?
Here's the great part. Don't get email from your domain registration provider. We recommend that you get email from Google, specifically Google Apps. Google Apps includes FREE web-based applications for email (customized to your domain name), group calendaring, internal company team site and other tools. You can use desktop tools such as Outlook for email with Google Apps as well.
With Google Apps, you can have as many email users/accounts as you want. Each email user will get over 6gb of space! And your email address will be "name@YourWebSiteName.com".
Nibea uses Google Apps for email and our internal wiki collaboration site. It's been very stable, fast and does all that we need.
Click to goto Google Apps. Sign up for the free (Standard) version. Google provides simple instructions on how to point your domain email to Google Apps. You can even setup your email at your domain (ex. "mail.YourWebSiteName.com").
Ok, so what kind of Domain / Website / Email setup do you recommend?
We recommend you get a domain at a large domain provider such as GoDaddy, take a few minutes to point the "www" record to Nibea for your website, point "mail" to Google Apps (Google provides detailed instructions) and you're all set. You get best of breed services for a very low cost.
I already have my Domain and Email. Can I use Nibea?
Absolutely! If you have domain and email setup, you will just need to spend a few minutes configuring your domain to point to Nibea.
